For those of you following our blog on bated breath (and just for the record) I thought I should give a little update on the Bunkerville Incident (see entry from last September for details). The dents on my arm have nearly healed. I have some scars but it's amazing how well they healed. I suppose my leg is doing just about as well as can be expected. My parents think I did some deep tissue bruising, which would make sense considering the myriad of colors that were present in the original bruise. It's pretty sore sometimes and there is still a definite bruise/dent in my leg, but considering the miracle that occured in saving my life, I'm eternally grateful to my Father in Heaven for only leaving me these scars and a bruise to remind me of His grace.
As for Jimmy, he went to the doctor this week. They gave him more of his intensely expensive medication. The doctor here in town said that she couldn't understand why he couldn't eat peanut butter and meat, so we're a little confused as to who's right. But I guess for now we'll probably just keep him off of it considering how it could be life and death on the line. Last time they checked his calcium levels he was normal (finally!). Getting his blood drawn has become no less traumatic for him. At his doctor's appointment on Thursday he got poked three times. No fun for a little guy (or a not so little guy in Jimmy's case) but Mom always makes it worth his while by getting him a new toy every time he's brave.
