Church History Trip!! (Amy)

On Saturday, I got back from a two week Church History Trip. We visited sites along the East coast from Church history as well as some of our country's historical sites. We visited Liberty Jail, Adam-Ondi-Ahman, Nauvoo, Carthage Jail, Gettysburg, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Liberty Bell, New York City, Susquehanna River, Sacred Grove, Hill Cumorah, Niagra falls, the Kirtland Temple, and some other places. I got to go with some of my Davis cousins which made it even better! I had a blast! I met a ton of new people and had fun times as well as spiritual experiences!

Adam-Ondi-Ahman

Me at the Washington D.C. Temple. It is one of my favorites!

At the Capitol Building and the White House in Washington D.C.

We went and saw Phantom of the Opera on Broadway while in NYC. It was Amazing!

The Nauvoo Temple- All of us cousins that went on the trip

At the Sacred Grove. That place is amazing and so beautiful!

Susquehanna River-All the Young Men sang Called to Serve. It was incredible!

Thank you to Larry and Ginger Ewell for being fantastic leaders and to Grandma Davis for allowing me to go!

Girls Camp

Girls Camp

Once again we have finished a fantastic year of girls camp. This year the whole family (minus Amy who was on the Church history trip) got to go up for the weekend before. Jimmy thought he'd died and gone to heaven because of all the loaders and bobcats and backhoes that were there.

Davis Reunion

For all of those who took part in making the reunion so awesome, thank you. Special thanks go out to Grandma and Aunt Jo for putting it on. It's great to spend time getting to know the people we're going to be with for eternity. Here are some favorite photos from the reunion:

Horray for Hollywood

I haven't ever done this on my blog but I would like to salute Hollywood for a few exceptional productions:

Star Trek- Holy Cow! Got to see that one again! And I'm no Trekkie, so that's saying something if I want to see a movie again (especially with the price to see a movie. Good grief you lose an arm and a leg). Plus, there is a fantastic looking cast, which isn't bad either.

Burn Notice- Great show- a spy who's been burned (basically can't work as a spy anymore) uses his talents to help other people. And the character interactions are a riot.

Psych- I love this show! I have watched every episode of every season. My only regret is that the new season doesn't start until August. Anyway, synopsis is Shawn pretends to be a psychic and solves cases for the Santa Barbara police department with the help of his best friend, partner, and pharmaceutical salesman Gus. Adding tension this season is the budding relationship between Shawn and his old highschool girlfriend and the recent show of interest from long time crush Juliet who he works with.

So for those of you who have some spare time on your hands and need help turning your brain to mush, take my advice and veg out like a couch potato on any of these fantastic features.
