School is in session

We have successfully begun a new school year. Julie isn't in school, but her husband Nathan is. Robert is taking a lighter schedule with only one science class (so maybe he'll have more time for dating?). I'm in my last semester of organic chemistry (Hooray!!!) but have started my first semester of physics (yikes!). Amy is a senior in high school (wasn't she thirteen yesterday?). She's taking 3 AP classes, doing student council, and driving across town every morning at 5:30 so she can make it to seminary on time. Richard has started at a new high school, but Mom seems happy with his teachers and aids. The same can't be said of the aids/bus driver for Jimmy. He and Kristi are going to the same elementary school but since Jimmy's in a special program he rides the bus. Mom got it ok'd for Kristi to ride with him, but the bus people won't let them sit together. They have to sit on different benches (we can't figure out why either). But Kristi is enjoying having her cousin in her class and is taking a ballet/tap class. Jimmy loves his new teacher, who happens to be in our ward.

I know I'm kind of behind on this one. But here are all our family adventures from our trip last month.
General family trip pictures:

Kristianne chose to go the This is the Place for her birthday- and Jimmy loved it. I think he rode the trains 8 times while we were there.

We also went to the Old West Heritage Farm, again Jimmy loved riding the train.

We stopped at the Salt Lake Temple to see the new replica of the temple in the visitors center. And it is AMAZING! Highly recommend it to anyone that hasn't seen it.

Thanks so much to those we stayed with- especially Grandma and Becky. And thanks to the Lindstroms for waffles and freezer jam. It wouldn't be a family vacation without it!

Not enough words...

I would like the record to show that I had no part in this. All I did was document by taking the picture. And I think everyone (excluding, perhaps, Jimmy when he's older) is grateful I did that.

It's Great to Be Eight!

We hope that Kristianne feels this way. We're super excited to announce that she got baptized!!!! Thanks so much to all those that could come. She appreciates your love and support.

Davis Reunion

Every year, one of the highlights is getting together with family. We love all of the old family traditions- going to Zion, the Sunday walks, staying up late and getting in trouble for being loud. We also love some of the newer traditions- getting shirts(we thought this year's were just great!), Aunt Jo and Heather's song game (our family studies between reunions for it), and all the new additions to the family! Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's reunion the best ever, and a special thank you to Aunt Laura who put so much work into it.
Here's a small taste of what this year's reunion was like:

Happy Independence Day!

I couldn't let the day pass without saying how grateful I am to live in a country that allows me so many incredible freedoms. Thank you to those who have fought and are fighting to maintain them. God bless America!
